Spring – Garden Tours and Seasonal Highlights
March-May
Spring is one of the best times to explore Chatsworth’s gardens as bulbs, blossom and early colour begin to emerge. Expert-led garden tours and seasonal walks run throughout the spring months, focusing on planting schemes, landscape design and the work that goes into maintaining the gardens as they wake up for the year.
April – Outdoor Skills and Countryside Workshops
11th-12th April & 18th-19th April
Hands-on countryside courses take place during spring, including traditional skills such as dry stone walling and conservation work. These practical workshops are set within the wider Chatsworth estate and offer a rewarding experience for visitors looking to try something different during their stay.
Summer – Family Events and Garden Experiences
June-August
Summer at Chatsworth has a lively, relaxed feel, with family-friendly activities running throughout the school holidays. Expect garden trails, outdoor play experiences and informal events designed to help families make the most of the gardens, parkland and longer days.
July – Outdoor Cinema and Evening Experiences
24th-26th July

Autumn – Food, Craft and Seasonal Markets

As the gardens turn to autumn colour, Chatsworth hosts smaller-scale events celebrating local food, crafts and seasonal produce. These relaxed markets and food-led weekends are ideal for browsing, sampling local specialities and enjoying the estate at a quieter time of year.
