Matlock’s much-loved Victorian Christmas Market returns to Hall Leys Park for another weekend of festive fun and seasonal shopping.
Each December, the town centre is transformed into a scene of Victorian charm, welcoming visitors from near and far to enjoy one of Derbyshire’s favourite Christmas traditions.
Stroll among more than 200 stalls offering handmade crafts, thoughtful gifts, festive decorations, and local delicacies. Whether you’re searching for a special present or simply want to experience the joyful atmosphere, there’s plenty to discover.
The park comes alive with music, entertainment, and Victorian-style festivities. Listen to local choirs and brass bands performing Christmas classics, watch live demonstrations, and take in the nostalgic sights and sounds of the season.
Food and drink vendors serve up warming winter treats, from mulled wine and roasted chestnuts to comforting hot meals and sweet bakes — perfect for keeping cosy as you explore.
