6th – 8th December 2019
Now in it’s 24th year, the Matlock Victorian Christmas Market has become a major event in the town’s calendar.
Over the weekend Hall Leys Park is transformed into a traditional Victorian Market, with over 200 stalls and in recent years has included a continental style food market selling a wide range of interesting and tasty Christmas treats.
There’s mulled wine on offer for the adults, and for the younger members of the family, an opportunity to see Santa arrive on his sleigh as he parades on horse driven carriage through the town at 4:15pm on Saturday evening, just before the Christmas lights are switched on.
There’s also fairground rides and entertainment in the bandstand, as well as the grand finale on Sunday night, which ends with a firework display over Matlock.
