Haddon Hall and Gardens is a extremely popular destination for our guests who come to stay in one of our five self catering holiday cottages in Derbyshire. Haddon Hall is a medieval fortified manor house dating from the 12th century and is owned by the Duke and Duchess of Rutland.
Restoration of Haddon Hall began in the 1920s after it had lay abandoned and empty for 200 years and is seen as one of the finest examples of a fortified manor house. Since then Haddon Hall has become a popular location for TV and film with well over thirty productions using the Hall as a back drop.
The walled garden is arranged in a series of terraces and adorned with climbing roses and provides stunning views over the ancient rural landscape and the Peak District National Park.
Food and drink is available at Haddon Hall and if you want to celebrate something really special you could opt to book a table in the restaurant situated in the 17th Century stable block. Booking a meal in the restaurant at Haddon Hall will get you free entry to the property.
